- 01The killer seems to have left a coded message for you carved in the ceiling of the van. Maybe he carved the cipher somewhere else in the van?
- 02Check under the shag carpeting for the cipher.
- 03The decoded message reads: I have been following you. Where did I see you first? Seems like the goal is to see what city he started following you in on the map.
- 04The macrame kit says “Step One” on the front. See if the strings in the package relate to another item in the box.
- 05Place the end of the colored strings on the map that correlate to the cities with the same text color. See where all the ends intersect to find the city where the killer started following you.
- 06Orange= Crescent City, Yellow= Fresno, Green= San Francisco. When all the strings are on the correct cities, their ends all intersect in Carson City. The killer started following you in Carson City.
- 07There is a QR code on the postcard that leads you to the next clue. Scan it with your smartphone camera!
- 08The song playing is called “Ventura Highway”. Follow the Ventura Highway on the map until you receive the next item from the candle.
- 09The next item in the candle is a razor blade. Is there anywhere on the map off the Ventura Highway that it could be pointing to?
- 10Razor Bluff near Hollywood has two hotels that the killer could be holding your mother in. Maybe the next item in the candle will tell you where he’s keeping her!
- 11There are five ace playing cards in the candle. He must be keeping her at the 5 Aces Motel! Hurry and open the Epilogue card to see if you can save her in time!
- 12In the hotel room, the killer has left you another coded message using the same cipher as the message in the van.
- 13Once decoded, the letter reads: Tsk. Tsk. Not as clever as we thought. Not as quick as we should have been. Should have run faster, little rabbit. Oh well. Perhaps it’s best you learn this lesson while you’re young; the house always wins. You’re a lost, wandering one now. Do not despair! You’ve caught my attention. I’ll be back to collect you one day, my rabbit. Just like I collected something from your mother. Can you figure out what it is? Don’t forget about me. I’ll never forget about you. See you soon. Can you figure out what trophy he took from your mom’s van? Check the rearview mirror.
