There are nine suspects in the case. Check the back of the box to see who they are! Cross off suspects one by one until one remains. This game is non-linear, so you can cross off suspects in any order that you solve the puzzles.

The cereal on the top of the candle is NOT a hint or clue (they appear on scented versions only, not unscented.)

Who is the cereal killer? Work through the maze to find the phrase that completes the riddle.

First part of the riddle reads: “Feeling remorseful as guilt draws near…” and the phrase in the maze reads: “colored bands you’re in the clear.” What could “colored bands” be referring to?

The first item in the candle is a green bracelet! Could this be what the riddle from the maze is referring to? Is there a suspect on the list that is green?

The Camp Cook is green. They are innocent!

The second item in the candle is a yellow bracelet! Could this be what the riddle from the maze is referring to? Is there a suspect on the list that is yellow?

The Gas Station Attendant is yellow. They are innocent!

The third item in the candle is an orange bracelet! Could this be what the riddle from the maze is referring to? Is there a suspect on the list that is orange?

The Groundskeeper is orange. They are innocent!

This looks like a message that needs a cipher key. Could you scratch the surface to find the cipher key?

When you scratch off the sparkly sticker, the cipher code A=U is revealed.

The decoded message reads: I COULDN’T BE GUILTY, NOT IF I TRIED. I COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE UNLESS YOU’VE ALREADY DIED. WHO AM I? Is there a suspect that saves lives for a living?

The Doctor saves lives for a living! They are innocent.

When you find all the words on the bottom panel of the box, some letters remain. What does it spell out?

The letters that remain in the Word Search spell out: THE CONSTRUCTION WORKER IS INNOCENT

Cut out on the dotted lines the square that says DOUBLE TROUBLE on the inner flap. Can you find another place that says DOUBLE TROUBLE as a clue where to place this cut out piece?

The Word Search panel on the inside of the box is the same size as the Double Trouble cut out piece! When you place the cut out piece over the Word Search, some letters remain. What do they spell?

The remaining letters spell: POSTMAN. The Postman is innocent!

Is there an item in the game that changes color? What is in the background of this panel on the box?

The spoon changes colors when put into ice water! What color does it turn?

The spoon turns purple! The purple suspect is the Truck Driver. They are innocent!

Look closely at the label on the candle. Is there something behind the TV static?

Pull off the static sticker to reveal the Sheriff! According to the TV, the Sheriff is not guilty!

The remaining suspect is the Police Officer! This must be the killer’s identity. Open the Epilogue Card and follow the instructions to find out what happens next.
